Generally, most jobs expect you to work eight hours a day. It’s a standard that was set a long time ago, and it remains in place today. Of course, if you’re a freelancer, you’re schedule might vary, or you might even be able to make your own hours. But if you report to an office, you’re probably expected to put in somewhere in the area of 8 hours each day.
That makes you wonder: is eight hours really the best amount of time to work? Could employees be more productive if they worked harder for a shorter time? Would that create a better work/life balance? The infographic below investigates all of these questions and more.
