Do People Actually Read Restaurant Reviews?

Websites dedicated almost entirely to restaurant reviews are quite popular. Services like Yelp have built an entire (albeit controversial) business model around people writing reviews for places in their local area. Tripadvisor is another popular service for people to leave food reviews. Obviously, people read these reviews, but how many? Do most people actually look up restaurant reviews before they head out to eat, or do they just go?
