The land of the world is not divided according to population. Countries like Russia are huge in terms of land mass, but not so big in population. India and China sit on the other side, with a relatively small land mass for the amount of people.
So what if you took the world and scaled each country’s size according to its population with each block of land was equal to 500,000 people? Well that’s just what this fascinating cartogram does. Check out it, and you might just find that you have a completely different perspective of the Earth.
